Meet Your Future Self
Have you met your Future Self yet?
You might want to.
I'm reading "Be Your Future Self Now," a book by Dr. Benjamin Hardy.
The premise is to craft the future, more successful you in 5 years, and then let that future version of you coach the today version of you.
I followed the book's suggestion and wrote a letter from the 2027 future version of me to the 2022 current version of me.
It was surprisingly powerful.
It's common practice to plan out the future version of your business (revenue, number of employees, profit margins, etc.) or your career (promotions, pay raises, more responsibility, etc.).
What's not a common practice is to plan out the future version of YOU.
The irony is that your business or career is the product of who you are today.
Change yourself for the better today, and your business and career will follow.
If you're curious about how to begin crafting your future self, take a minute and ask yourself these questions:
- Who am I in 5 years?
- What have I accomplished?
- What are my standards?
- What do I believe?
- What are my daily habits?
- What is the quality of my connection to a higher power?
- What is the quality of my important relationships?
- Who do I spend the most time with?
Of course, if you want the full experience, I recommend getting Dr. Ben's book.
